WAA Podcast Episode 50: The Holidays and Myths About Church Dropouts (1:19:56)

Welcome to the 50th podcast episode of "What's an Adventist?"

The majority of Adventists celebrate the holiday season with their friends, families and churches. Within Adventism it is encouraged to take the opportunity to reflect on the gift of Christ as well as find opportunities to reach out to others who are less fortunate. One of Adventism's founders wrote "When you have a holiday, make it a pleasant and happy day for your children, and make it also a pleasant day for the poor and afflicted. Do not let the day pass without bringing thanksgiving and thank offerings to Jesus."

This week on WAA, Jesse Sias and Abraham Miranda, with the help of our WAA listeners, spread some holiday cheer by talking about some of the things Adventists do during the holidays and what some of our listeners are thankful for. Jesse and Abraham also talk about some of the myths around why young adults drop out of church. (Click on title to hear podcast)

As WAA wraps up 2011 we want to thank all of our contributors and listeners. We also want to thank the Lord for blessing this ministry and for giving us an opportunity to share our faith in this manner. WAA will be back in 2012 with more topics, guests, and commentaries.
